Our program features a tested, methodical, and foundational skills first approach when it comes to teaching properly.
We aim to create an environment where all nationalities, races, and genders are not only accepted but welcomed freely.
Rather than putting pressure on performance, we aim to help each rider have an enjoyable experience and develop a passion for biking.
We aim to equip every rider with the knowledge and skills they need in order to develop a passion and confidence for mountain biking. We believe that it is through proper training and "hands-on" experience that progress is made.
We hope that every rider who passes through our program will one day -- when asked what they like to do -- reply with the words:
"I am a mountain biker." We wish for riders to grow up out of our program with the label of "mountain biker" embedded in their soul.
We place a great deal of emphasis on environmental awareness and respect for other riders while out on the trails.

Since age 3, Chandler Lake has been an avid enjoyer of what some may call, "the best sport on earth..." AKA mountain biking. Growing up in Utah, he has been blessed to experience many trail systems all over the state, but currently finds The Whole Enchilada (Moab, UT) as his all time favorite ride. Mountain biking has played a foundational role in his life, giving him a passion, respect, and love for both the outdoors and speed. The sport has been an amazing way to socialize and make friends. His goal with Wasatch Mountain Riders is to provide others with the opportunity for mountain biking to become a passion of theirs, so that one day they may savor the wonderful joys of being a part of the mountain biking community.
After longingly watch mountain bikers in Park City rip down PCMR trails for several summers, Lindsey knew mountain biking was something she'd love. So on a whim she sold her road bike and went to the local shop to purchase a Trek Roscoe hardtail. She went to Dry Creek in Salt Lake for her first ride and it was immediately confirmed that this was her thing...even though she was huffing and puffing the whole way. ;) Lindsey and her husband Jimmy are currently the head coaches of her local Bountiful High School mountain bike team. She is a Level 3 NICA coach and a PMBIA Certified Level 1 instructor. Lindsey is a member of the Bountiful Trails Advisory Committee working with Bountiful city to help coordinate trail development, design, maintenance and keep the public informed on the trails systems. In the off-season, you'll catch her with Jimmy and their three daughters on the mountain downhill skiing, as well as XC and backcountry skiing with friends. She is passionate about being in the mountains and what mountain biking can do for an individual's physical health, mental health and overall well-being. Life is better on a bike!
Let us know your riders experience, goals, and needs exactly so that we can help provide the perfect mountain biking experience!
